Ristrutturazione ed ampliamento di un edificio facente parte di un comparto di case ai margini del centro storico. Il fabbricato è stato ristrutturato riorganizzando i piani e le relative altezze, mantenendo l'impostazione originale. I solai sono in legno e acciaio. Le superfetazioni aggiunte negli anni del dopoguerra come bagni sospesi, terrazze, aggetti, che caratterizzano il lato B dell'intero comparto sono state ricomposte e ripensate in chiave moderna mantenendo comunque parti di muratura e riutilizzando i mattoni provenienti dallo smontaggio di porzioni dell'edificio. L'ampliamento, totalmente in legno, riguarda l'ultimo piano e costituisce una vera e propria "serra solare" con terrazza. La serra solare, totalmente apribile ai lati, ha il compito di trattenere il calore del sole invernale ed ombreggiare la casa nei mesi estivi. E' stato inserito un ascensore per collegare i tre piani principali.
La scala che collega il piano primo al piano secondo è in lamiera microforata permettendo al lucernaio inserito all'ultimo piano di far arrivare la luce a tutto il vano scale.

Renovation and expansion of a building, part of a district on the edge of the old town. The building has been renovated reorganizing the floors and the relative heights, maintaining the original setting. The floor slab are made of wood and steel. The superfetaments added in the postwar years, as suspended baths and terraces which characterize the B-side of the entire compartment, have been recomposed and rethought in a modern way. Parts of masonry and the bricks were retained from the dismantling of portions of the building. The extension, totally in wood, covers the top floor and constitutes a real "solar greenhouse" with terrace. The solar greenhouse, totally open to the sides, is meant to keep the warmth of the winter sun and shade the house in the summer months. An elevator was inserted to connect the three main floors.
The staircase that connects the first floor to the second floor is made of microperforated metal sheet, allowing the skylight inserted on the top floor to bring the light to the entire stairwell.
